Madison Muszynski (b. 2000) is a fashion and textile designer based in Detroit with a BS in Fashion Merchandising and minors in Textile Design and Business Administration from Wayne State University (2022). Her work is rooted in sustainability, slow fashion, and a rejection of traditional production methods. In 2021, she started 707CLOTHINGHEAVEN in response to the crisis of fast fashion and mass production, using only preloved/discarded materials in hopes of keeping them in rotation for as long as possible.  She works with clients/groups to transform their unwanted clothing into pieces with a new purpose and function.

How much waste will this create? What can I make from that waste? How am I preserving material? How will this garment live on? 

These questions are always at the top of my mind. 

With each garment, I aim to bring awareness to circularity, upcycling, and other ways to keep materials from their inevitable destination (the landfill).
